Four indigenous children aged between 1 and 13 survived a plane crash and were lost for 40 days in the Colombian jungle until they were found. The children's mother, the pilot and another adult died in the accident.
The plane crashed on May 1, in a region that is difficult to access and full of predators, and was only found 17 days later. The children were not at the crash site, and some evidence, such as diapers, towels and a makeshift shelter, indicated that they were alive.
A search team made up of 120 soldiers and 73 indigenous people worked tirelessly to find the children, who are currently receiving medical and psychological care at a hospital in Bogotá.

O avião caiu no dia 1 de maio, em uma região de difícil acesso e repleta de predadores, e só foi encontrado 17 dias depois. As crianças não estavam no local do acidente, e alguns indícios, como fraldas, toalhas e um abrigo improvisado, indicavam que as crianças estavam vivas.
Uma equipe de buscas formada por 120 militares e 73 indígenas foi incansável até encontrar as crianças, que neste momento recebem atendimento medico e psicológico em um hospital de Bogotá.
